Sparkles of Herts – Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between Sparkles of Herts (“the Company”) and you, the Client, for the provision of domestic cleaning services. By booking our services, you agree to the terms below.
2. Bookings & Appointments

  • All appointments are subject to availability.

  • Arrival times are approximate and may vary due to traffic, weather, or delays at previous jobs.

  • The Client must ensure the Cleaner has safe and reasonable access to the property at the agreed time.

  • Any special instructions must be provided before the service begins.

3. Pricing & Payment

  • Prices are confirmed at the time of booking and are based on property size, condition, and service requirements.

  • Payment is due on the day of service unless agreed otherwise in writing.

  • The Client is responsible for any parking fees or access charges incurred during the visit.

  • Late or missed payments may result in additional charges or suspension of service.

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • The Client must provide a minimum of 24–48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule (you can tell me your preferred notice period and I’ll update this).

  • Cancellations with insufficient notice may be charged at the full service rate.

  • If the Cleaner cannot gain access to the property, the visit will be charged in full.

5. Scope of Work

  • Sparkles of Ware provides general domestic cleaning unless otherwise agreed.

  • Cleaners will not:

    • Move heavy furniture

    • Clean areas that are unsafe or inaccessible

    • Perform tasks requiring specialist equipment or training (e.g., mould removal, exterior windows above ground level)

  • The Company is not responsible for pre‑existing damage, wear and tear, or items that are unstable or poorly secured.

6. Client Responsibilities

  • The Client must provide:

    • Running water

    • Electricity

    • Safe working conditions

  • The Client must secure valuables before the Cleaner arrives.

  • Pets must be kept under control during the service.

  • The Client must inform the Company of any hazards, fragile items, or special cleaning requirements.

7. Cleaning Products & Equipment

  • Sparkles of Herts provides its own cleaning products and equipment unless otherwise agreed.

  • If the Client supplies products, they must be safe and suitable for the surfaces being cleaned.

  • The Company is not liable for damage caused by Client‑supplied products.

8. Breakages, Damage & Liability

  • The Company holds public liability insurance covering accidental damage caused by Cleaners.

  • Any damage or breakage must be reported within 24 hours of the service.

  • The Company is not liable for:

    • Items valued over a specified amount (e.g., £250) unless declared in writing

    • Cash, jewellery, or sentimental items

    • Damage caused by faulty fixtures, poor installation, or general deterioration

  • Liability is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the damaged item.

9. Complaints & Quality Guarantee

  • Any concerns must be reported within 24 hours of the service.

  • If the complaint is valid, Sparkles of Ware will arrange a re‑clean of the affected area at no additional cost.

  • Refunds are issued only at the Company’s discretion.

10. Keys & Security

  • Keys provided to the Company will be securely stored and coded without identifying information.

  • The Company accepts no responsibility for loss or damage if keys are shared with third parties or left in insecure locations by the Client.

11. Termination of Regular Service

  • Either party may terminate weekly or fortnightly cleaning arrangements with 14 days’ written notice.

  • Immediate termination may occur if:

    • The Client behaves abusively

    • The property is unsafe

    • Payment is repeatedly late

    • The Cleaner is subjected to unreasonable working conditions

12. Privacy & Data Protection

  • Sparkles of Herts collects only the information necessary to provide cleaning services.

  • Personal data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and is never shared with third parties except where required by law.

13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
